I'm not sure what you mean with "Archives".....you can do something like this:
http://www.positiveamericanews.com/archive/
Probably the simplest way would be to use the above link and replace the link you have in your tab that goes to that archive page you are trying to build.
Most code needs to be added by way of "Functions", under the Templating menu.
This is an area that needs much better explanation from PHPCOW, as the documentation is pretty poor.
There are quite a few examples of custom functions use in their KB. I guess someone could plan writing a book on PHPCow like there are quite a few "How To For ...." for many commercial scripts and start selling those books online ;-)
I don't want to make money, i honestly just want to help our members get the most out of their PHPCOW installations. Ideally, PHPCOW would be putting more time into this area, but i understand as they are busy working on upgrades and updates.
You are quite right. They are apparently busy with MyWEB and much awaited V3 i guess.
Thanks for the quick response. I guess my confusion is how to replace my link with this link you suggested and to get the old news to that section just for archives in the simplest way?
That's simple HTML stuff which Capper has explained. Place the link wherever you would want it to be in template(s)
Not much HTML knowledge. I learned from some tutorials over the phone, so step-by-step
directions work best for me and I keep a log of where is came from in case I need to re-do
anything similar.
Thanks for all help you can offer.

Copy the link I posted above.....
Open the "Dynamic Menu" tab and select the menu you are using at the top of your page. click on "Load Menu", then select "Archive" from the menu list that opens up, and click "Edit" next to the Archive entry.
A new screen will pop up that will have Name, Category, URL, Target Frame, and Rebuild Menu after edit. you need to replace the URL here with the one I gave you (
http://www.positiveamericanews.com/archive/), click the "Rebuild Menu After Edit" box, and then save.
I check in a few times a day.....so bear with my slowness.....but I will help however I can.......don't get frustrated or give up....we will get you all set up, and up and running.
