I have never been so frustrated with a program than I have with phpcow. It has a mind of its own and does not want to listen. I am about to put it to pasture and let it fend for itself.

Never kick a cow when its down and out

Let me help you Raven! I know last time we talked (awhile ago) you had erased everything and were ready to start anew. Is that still where you're at? I'll help you get it setup just how you want, as I'm sure others here will help you with too. Let's just do this a step at a time. I guarantee you, not only can we get your site rockin, but I'm ure there are many others out there with your same issues that will love learning from us doing this.
So where do you want to start?

Raven, please link your site, and put together a list of what you want to do. I will join Kaos in helping you get everything set up the way you want.
Yes I started from scratch. Where do I want to start, from the beginning of coarse. lol. It is basically an emtpy lot. I do have catagories up there. But they don't show up in the article section. I tried making blocks. Not sure if I did it right.

Thanks.

Ok, well is there a template that you like of the cow's already? I can't pick your tastes for you. And when you say "links" do you mean the navigation?
Yes navigation.
I either like the CNN or NYtimes one.

I like the CNN better personally. But thats your choice. No matter which template you choose the steps are basically all the same. I think we will take these and separate each issue in a new thread if you don't mind. Then when others have the same issue they will be able to see it in full instead of reading this 100 page post. Sound good?
I'll try to get some of the step by steps done tonight for you Raven, if possible.
I think I will go with CNN also. If I remember how to load a template I will load that one. Thanks.

Head over to the PHPCOW website, and download the CNN template to your desktop.
Log into your Cow Admin Panel, and look toward the bottom of the lefthand side. Open "Export/Import Templates", and click on "Import Template".....Browse your desktop for the template you just downloaded (should be B09), and upload it.
Next, find the template in the list of templates below, check the "Activate Skin" box, and then click "Activate Skin".
The skin is now active....but you need to also do the following.
Open "General Settings" (top lefthand side) and change the "Default Style" to the template you just downloaded.....then click save. You can now go to the "Templating page" and open the individual templates and begin customizing them.
