LOL....so whats the difference between cut and paste from code written in an external editor as opposed to code cut and pasted from Notepad?

The problem with the prebuilt PHPCOW templates, although they look good, is that they are very poorly coded. You can easily build you own template in any editor, and if you wish, either use the PHPCOW CSS file, use it as a guide to compile your own.....or build you own from scratch
Wow! You two just butt heads on everything huh?
I'm sorry....I came here to share my experience with PHPCOW and help others using the program......a forum like this has been my wish for a long time. I'm also someone who is going to be fair and honest about everything......both the good and bad....and I think I've been very fair about my experiences, both good and bad.
Here's how I see it. I totally agree that no matter what product/script or what have you, you talk about there will ALWAYS be both Pro's and Con's that to me is not anything negative. I see it as constructive conversation and have no problem with that.

This forum is simply here for the reasons Capper just gave, to help others who own the phpcow script or are considering buying it. I really think we all could do alot of good by posting constructive things, and tips and ideas. Of course there will always be multiple ways to accomplish the same goal and thats great, because even I'm looking for better ways to due things I already use. So lets keep this forum as I intended it to be, helpful. There is never a need to belittle ANY member on here, I simply won't tolerate it so come on guys, just ignore each other if you have to in order to make this forum what it truly can be, a great resource for everyone.
We need to spread the word at some script hosting sites, so that others who have, or who are considering PHPCOW can come here and get/give help.

I've been recommending anyone and everyone i come across to sign up.
I have been slowly getting word out too. I will also be working on making banners etc tomorrow to use along with other graphics to get the word out. I only held off until all the bugs were fixed in this forum script, but I think they are mostly worked out now so now we are going to populate this place!!!

There's a big difference.
(1) Try cut/copy from PHPCow html editor and do a direct paste in fronpage editor both in source mode.
(2) Try cut/copy from PHPCow html editor (source mode) --> Paste On Notepad --> Cut /copy from notepad --> paste on frontpage editor.
(3) Try copy from any page on web (view source) and paste in frontpage editor source mode.

You will witness the difference. Presuming that it's WinXP with Frontpage installed. Seeing is believing so i posted the above. Try it.

Best EDITOR is NOTEPAD and if one is comfortable working for html on notepad then nothing is difficult.

We've used Cute Editor since buying it last year....the code it generates is much better than the default PHPCOW editor (Devedit). We've actually made a rule against using any MS HTML in the PHPCOW editor, as it causes all kinds of problems.

The good thing about Cute Editor is that they have a full working demo up on their site you can use, as do many wizzywig editor companies)....

Why use Frontpage at all? I'm losing you with what point your trying to make here. From my experience Frontpage is not the best editor out there to use it really messes with code I would think it would be a bad editor to use in any phpcow template, unless thats alll you have and you need the design view???

I use Dreamweaver for all my editing personally, is Cute Editor anything different that I should know of? (Sorry never heard of it)

Well i never used FP/DW for any templating (phpcow or otherwise)
Notepad is my best friend when it comes to html/css.
charset/encoding etc is a separate topic of research. FP example was posted as an example to see the difference between C&P and typing out directly.
