If you are looking for a great way to manage the ads on PHPCOW, I found AdManagerPro.....in conjunction with the "Function" feature found under "Templates", you can easily add and track any possible ad configuration.

Thats a pretty cool ad management tool. I do need to get one of those. Did you just throw it on the bak of the site and manage ads there?
yes, the AdManager application has its own web interface where you can completely manage your ads.....then you just go to PHPCOW, create a custom function, and input the code that AdManager generates....you can create any sort or ad, and any sort of ad rotation.....all your statistics are kept by month and by year.

There is individual logins for you (Admin), and your advertisers....they can go to a separate control panel, buy adspace, upload ads, and track sales.....so you are free to focus on other things......for space with no ad sales, there are default ads (we use Google Ads).
Very cool tip! I currently have all my ads hardcoded which is just annoying, I've wanted an adsystem to make it easier to switch out advertisers when they cancel accounts and add new advertisers. Nice find Capper! I'll look into that one, I also have to find an ad manager for this forum LOL I guesss I'm very ad deficient right now everywhere LOL!
If you wanted to be creative....I think you could use it to add any Java Script into your templates
If you are looking for free script then do as following sites have done

http://www.cityhallnews.com/
http://www.nycapitolnews.com/

Both done by https://scorpioinformatics.com/

PHPAdsNew (now different name) is used on those sites to deliver ads. Remember PHPAdsNew is having bit of a steep learning curve.

Cheers
The nice thing about the program i linked is that you create zones, and it allows perspective advertisers to pick and choose where they want to advertise, pay you for any amount of time (day, week, month, year, or by clicks or impressions).

What I did was create custom functions that I implemented into the variuous templates, and once ad space was purchased and approved, it aloowed the advertisers to upload the ad, and the ad was automatically posted to the site.

In addition the program allows you to track all kinds of information about advertising and your site.
