When have you ever known me to be shy. MOOOOOOOOOOO.

I'm just hoping people are getting their email verifications when they signup. I always worry when I use a new script, and this is my first time using myBB. I see some starting to talk here so I assume that people are just shy... I swear I'm not scary people :-)

I got my verification and the first thing I did was the introduction post.

Maybe some flavor of welcome message / notice or welcome PM linking to the introductions would help push people to make one?

On DiscussNY Theresa sends new members a personal welcome message.

I agree! I should implement that feature. We are really lacking on the intros in here...I assumed that people are literally so frustrated with issues their having with their script that they just dive right in with their questions...but perhaps that will help get them introducing more. Nice idea Ray!

yeah, I've noticed quite a few spammers as well.......those people really irritate me!!!!
