That said, yes PHPCow is a lot easier to deal with than few others like OpenCMS and Drupal if one is looking for a one of it's kind type of looks site. We picked everything from PHPCow's online docs and less than 8 or 9 questions on how to over livehelp.

Very recently one client happily paid US $400.00 just for complete revamp of the home page layout (based on PHPCow), leaving other areas untouched. On the other extreme we had one client asking us to do a cinemawithoutborders.com type of layout for $20/mo (which we refused obviously). Someone asked to clone forbes.com layout for $200 which we again refused. Starting with a clean slate it takes 40 man-hours to do templating (where every bit of html is typed and not copy paste from some tool like FP/DW/Adobe Live etc).

To put it the other way round, Paid Support is nothing but "Opportunity Costs" for people/company which has spent a great deal of time mastering it.
Ummm, did they already go to paid CS? I went to buy my new 1 year support license today (mine ran out) and there is no option anymore to do that??? Just curious if we are talking about paid vs free CS and it has already been decided for us anyway? Or maybe they just hate me now Escape

You need to enter the Member area with your username & password and renew your subscription selecting:

Support & Upgrades ($60.00)
Extend 1 year access to PHPCOW Support & Upgrades

Smile

I did that. Ironically my only choices were buy new script (2 versions) or MyWeb, and install. It didn't have any support & upgrade button. Hopefully its an error and not on purpose for opening up this forum LOL
Phpcow has a forum .... wow

Welcome change/development for sure.
This could also mean that they are getting ready with V 3.0 but this is just a shot in the dark.
I am there with same username as here. Not sure if i have so much time though.

Yeah,, I actually knew that was coming.

As for the members area, they claim my username XXX but it still doesn't work. Very annoying! Still can't buy my 1 year support/upgrades extension.

Kaos did you contact them on this issue?
Yes, I id and after a few support tickets..things are straightened out. Ironically though, I've decided to hold off on buying my license/support upgrade until the Cow V3 is released. I don't want to buy it now, then have to buy it again a year from now to get the release. Since they are not giving out an ETA, I just figured I'd wait it out with everyone.
