PHPCow Help - I have installed CNN template

Well, if I told you I messed up and crashed my whole site today Breakcomp

and am now trying to beat phpcowfreaks "It takes 40 hours for a redesign" although I'm cheating with the cookie cutter templates the cow gives out.

I'm such an idiot! I hit the wrong button and since I already had somehow lost all my templates and backup...I screwed myself. On a good note, I will soon be more aware of all that steps to do every little thing in the admin again. Rofl2

(Don't you just love the smilie throwing computer...possibly my favorite smilie I've ever found LOL!

Hey Raven, I was just in you admin trying to figure out what the problem is...went to put in a dummie article and it won't save it. Very odd..I sadly have to say you should submit a ticket with phpcow and tell them that something is definitely messed up with their install of your. Maybe they'll get to you in a week or so LOL!

I'd say post on their forum but 1. they aren't really very helpful and 2. they'll just tell you to submit a ticket. Sorry, but that weird. I literally put in an article and then when you click "save" it never shows up in the articles, it continues to show no articles.

Ok thanks I will post a ticket now. I want to try to get this straightened out. I just got a grant from Google and I am allowed up to $329.00 a day on ad space. I still haven't read all the manual yet.

Editing this because you will be shocked. PHPcow supported answered
my support question and said they fixed my problem.

Here is what they said.

"You've not updated permission for given categories. We just fixed it for you."

Lets hope so. LOL. I will check after some more ZZZZZZZZZZZZZ...............

Nice...could be quickest response ever! Finally. Just went to look at our site and have you noticed its a PR3 already and you haven't even built it yet LOL It looks like things are coming up too???

40 Hrs is an understatement if on a clean slate.

Totally agree with it now...even with my cheating method now its taking forever! Doesn't help that clients are piling up work right now. Do you know how do I get the url locations of category pages??? They aren't coming up in the navigation I've built and i can't find them. Man its been awhile since I designed these sites LOL!

Yeah, I noticed. I wasn't even really rude. LOL I just told them I was getting frustrated. I tryed a couple of articles and they are moving where they are suppose to I think. LOL. Now I guess it is time to get to work. I have been messing with http://www.talkmarylandforum.com so much and putting KDT on the back burner. Now I have no excuses. Thanks for your help.

I would assume I click on the link of the article and copy that link to the navigational section. Thats my guess. I have to do that after I get all the articles done.

I would suggest, change your blocks from "any" category to the category associated with the article you want displaying there and that should help it appear right. You currently have all you singleblocks and custom blocks you made set to "any" category "Any" author etc.
