Hi all,

Hopefully somebody can assist. Call me fussy but I'll been waiting for a PHPCOW technical ticket to get replied to for over 53 hours now!

I keep getting an 'Invalid serer root' error on 'File System Settings' page with or without 'Server root (optional)' field information. Details are the same as Dreamweaver ftp settings which I used for uploading files to site.

I briefly used their live support for the small amount of time it was available for this morning but to no avail.

Regards,

Steve
I guess this is the ftp root issue.
On cPanel if you use cPanel username/passwords it is

/home/username/public_html

The place where your public viewable files and directories go. Not sure about how your server is setup. Few hosting companies have too many aliasings which can mess up few things.
Normally our path would be /var/www/html but as we register the use of the software at a sub domain location the path will be /var/www/news. The field is optional within the install yet leaving it blank or telling it the correct path is resulting in the same error! If I alter the other FTP account details I get an error with regards to login so I know all is ok apart from the path.

Is there any telling as to how long tickets of their site take to be answered!!!
Response time varies. Sadly I'm waiting for a suppor issue too! I know your pain stephen.
